Quantitative Account Manager

TIM Group is seeking an Account Manager in London to service predominantly quantitative buy side clients (Hedge funds/Asset managers).

This is an exciting role for an energetic and driven Account Manager to generate new business and service existing algorithmic clients.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Building long-term, profitable and effective relationships with our largest quantitative buy-side clients
  • Act as a resource to the sales team; meeting prospective clients looking to enter the trade ideas market
  • Act as a consultant to existing quantitative buy sides and firms looking to launch new programs
  • Liaise with the global account management teams for program roll outs and user engagement
  • Answer technical questions from PM/Data ops teams regarding the TIM and data formats
  • Work with the Analytics team and directly with the database to help refine/improve existing quantitative programs
  • Liaise with the Product team on interface improvements
  • Travel within Europe to meet clients
  • There will also be the opportunity to account manage fundamental buy sides and existing sell side relationships
  • Help to ensure renewals for the region

Essential attributes include:

  • Proactive account management experience (ideally in wholesale finance)
  • Interest or experience with analytics/database tools (e.g. VBA/SQL)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Interest in financial markets and desire to work towards qualifications (IMC/CFA)
  • Strong team skills

Desirable attributes include:

  • Familiarity with the interactions between equity brokers and their clients
  • Solid knowledge of finance or equity markets.
  • Previous experience in financial software products, on demand analytics and portfolio management solutions
  • Familiar with market data, portfolio management or similar systems
